Malta Vacay Photo Dump!

First of all,
it took me way too long to write this post. So sorry!

But I will tell you, Malta was fantastic.
I loved it!
But honestly, the only time we left the beautiful hotel was to eat down the street... hehe :)
It was a much needed VACATION... I say that because normally our trips are spent walking all over the place to see all the sights. I thoroughly enjoyed just laying around for a weekend!

Hotel Room View of the Hilton Pools

Getting tannnnn :)

Huge pool... so pretty :)

Me heading into the pool

Pool side service! Mmm :)
Yummy sandwiches, chips, and salad!

The gorgeous views from the pool area
the gorgeous St. Julian's, Malta!

Our suppertime view from one of the local restaurants

The Restaurant Rafael in St. Julian's

Nighttime view of the pool...
They had fireworks every night :)

And... I got my hair did!
I also got my nails and toes done in the spa at the Hilton...
and I loved it :)
My hubs is the best for scheduling all that!

Our trip was right in the middle of all my morning sickness queasiness,
but luckily I got a lot of much needed rest and relaxation...
and thankfully the morning sickness wasn't too awful while we were gone ;)

We had a GREAT trip and loved Malta!

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope you're having a fantastic time on your long weekend.
I hope you're enjoying good weather, good company, and good food.

But I also hope you keep in mind what the true meaning of Memorial Day is.

Memorial Day is a time to remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and to honor all those that have served or are currently serving.

As much as I used to enjoy pool parties and cookouts on Memorial Day,
and as much as I loveddd not working for 3 or 4 days straight,
my parents have always explained to me that while having fun,
I should also be thinking of those that gave me that freedom.

That being said,
THANK YOU to all the men and women in our military.
THANK YOU to the families that sacrifice so much.
THANK YOU to those that previously served.
And THANK YOU to those that gave all.

A special THANK YOU goes out to my Papa Charles
and my husband, Aaron.
My heroes.

Enjoy your day :)

13 Week Bump-date!

Hello friends!
Long time, no see... I know.
I thought the morning sickness was easing up, but it was back in full force last week and this weekend.
Ugh.

Anyways, 13 weeks was actually Wednesday... but seeing as I was unable to keep anything down under the weather, I'm posting it late! Oh wells.

-Baby Bump:
Look at that little bump! Eeeeek!

- Sickness: Still here. and BAD. Hoping it leaves soon!!

-Cravings: Spinach and artichoke dip and Chickfila.

-Makes me sick: Um, moving. Being awake... haha I kid, but forreal, I'm just sick 24/7 no matter what. At this point, even meds from the doctor aren't helping. What gives?!

-Maternity clothes worn: One shirt! I (thankfully) still fit in most of my clothes... but I finally broke down and wore one of my maternity tanks :)

-Weird Side Effects: "Round ligament pain" aka a sharp, stabbing pain in my pelvic area when I sneeze or cough.... no fun. Oh and extreme dizziness.

-Weight Gain: Not sure... but I know I've gained. Eeeep!

-Baby's Gender: Still don't know!
Hopefully we'll find out in about 4 weeks? Ugh. So far away.

-Next Dr. Appointment: June 14 but I'm planning on moving it up.
(We pushed it back because of possible travel plans... but those fell through)

-Trimester: One week away from the 2nd trimester!! :)

Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!

To all the men and women out there that support our military,
THANK YOU!

If you know a Military Spouse, thank them.
If you are a Military Spouse, THANK YOU!

Military Spouses have one of the toughest jobs in the Military...
Getting left behind, taking care of the home front, and being supportive of their spouse's decision to serve our country.
Just like our military, Military Spouses make huge sacrifices every day.
Whether it is packing up and moving across the country or around the world at a moment's notice, leaving friends and family, raising a family while separated, or their spouse giving the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Military Spouses may not be the "fighting force" behind our country,
but they are the love and support for that force.

Thank you for all you do.

Now go hug a Military Spouse!

Baby Pin Obsession & Baby Update

Hi, my name is Ashley and I'm a Pinterest addict.
STILL.

Oh and it's gotten worse...
there are SO MANY baby things to pin.

And honestly, I could do it all day.

We still don't know if baby is boy or girl...
but I so so so want to start buying clothes, accessories, and supplies.
I can't help it. It's exciting!

But since I can't buy all things boy AND girl and get away with it
(Hubs disapproves... obviously)
Plus we'll be moving before baby gets here, so I should wait,
I will instead share some of my favorite and most recent

Prepare yourself for tons of cuteness... :)

#1. Nursery Inspiration.
Like I said, no clue about the sex...
And at this point I do not want to paint walls since we'll only be in our next house for 1.5 years...
but that doesn't mean I can't go crazy with wall art and colorful accessories :)

#2. Clothes.
Can't get enough.
FORREALS. I mean, look how precious?!

reminds me of Aaron... must have.

so sweet!

Perfect for Daddy's homecoming!

just like Daddy's! :)

I'm obsessed with ruffle-butt diaper covers!!

#3. Accessories.
Hello, if it's good for mommy, it's good for baby... right?
Well... something like that.

OMG... I die.

Another WayFarer wearer in the family... for sure.

Precious headbands...

Adorable hats!

#4. SHOES
Last but OBVIOUSLY not least.
Like I said, good for mommy = good for baby, right?
;)

Obsessed with baby toms...

Baby UGGS?!
I die. Seriously.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

And as for the BABY Update...

-Baby Bump: is slowly growing... but definitely there.

-Sickness: slowly subsiding... thank HEAVENS!
And also thanks to meds from the doctor.

-Cravings: Chickfila, Mexican food, Mac&Cheese, Pickles, Chocolate Milk and Chocolate Milkshakes :)

-Makes me gag: Meat (especially fish), anything that smells, sandwiches...

-Weight: 104.
I actually lost a pound due to being SO SICK.
That's why I had to get the morning sickness meds!

-Maternity Clothes worn so far: 0. But I'll be needing them soon :)

-Maternity Clothes bought: Several shirts!
MIL sent me about 4 t-shirts and I bought 2 maternity tanks
and 2 maternity shirts... And they're ACTUALLY cute.
Yay!

-Pants I can still button: 0. I'm using the "hair-band trick"
Which is basically just threading a hair band through your button hole and securing it on the button... yeah, I'm crafty :)

-Baby's Gender: still don't know!
And wont know for SEVERAL more weeks.
Base hospital wont tell us the sex until they can be 100% sure.

-Next Doctor's Appointment: June 14 @ 8:30AM :)

-Trimester: Almost to the 2nd!
Can't wait... that means bigger belly and no morning sickness!

Aweeee :)

Hey y'all!

Once again, I'm pushing back the Malta pics post...
because I have WAY cooler things to show you :)

Ta Daaaaa! :)

That is our sweet little baby!!
We went to the doctor on Friday and they moved our Due Date up to November 21 (it was originally November 27)... so it looks like we might be getting a sweet Thanksgiving surprise!! :)

Friday was definitely a great day.
We got to see our sweet baby and learned that he or she will be here earlier than we thought... And the doctor said he or she is the most active 11 weeker that she's ever seen!!
He or she wiggled through the entire ultrasound :)

Also,
everything is looking GREAT according to Doc.
and my bump is slowly getting a little bigger :)

Yayyy! 1st trimester is almost over.
That means goodbye morning sickness and hello big belly ;)

Just 2 things...

Heyyy Lovies!

Let me tell you, Malta was GREAT!
We spent most of our time laying out by the GORGEOUS pool...
and eating.
hehehe :)

BUT I am not posting about that today...
Instead, I have 2 little things to tell/show you.

#1. Hubby was promoted yesterday!
He was promoted from LTJG to LT :)
4 years of Navy officially done.
And just 16 more to go! ;)

We're not REALLY counting down... we enjoy our crazy lifestyle!

Hopefully I'll get some pics from the Promotion Ceremony from Aaron's command.
The ceremony was held in a location where cameras/phones are not allowed.
But I will share any pics I get from them with you as soon as I get them!

#2. LOOK AT THIS.
Not sure what I'm talking about?
Boo on you.
But here, let me zoom in for ya ;)

No, I'm not talking about my haircut... as much as I love it...
LOOK AT THAT LITTLE BABY BUMP!
(and bigger boobs... ha!)
Eeek!
I hit the 10 week mark yesterday! Almost through the 1st trimester :)
We go to the doctor on Friday... I can't wait!

And just so ya know... the bump has become even more prominent in the past few days.

That's all for now... I'll be sharing pics of Malta soon!
