I'm pretty sure that somewhere...
...wayyy down deep...
an ittyyy bitty teeny tiny piece of my heart was meant to be a Londoner.
(Sorry South GA! I still love you...)
But forreals y'all... I love London.
**Fun Fact: I went through a stage growing up (ahem, like 2 years..) where I would not stop speaking in a British accent. Yeah, embarrassing, I know. I forreals thought I was BabySpice's longlost little sis or something...**
Anyhoo... On with the recap!
We ate at Byron's Gourmet Burgers... we have forreals been missing REAL burgers!
and this place was DELISH!
Streets of LONDON...
Loveeeee it.
But the place is EXPENSIVE...
Espcially Kinsington... there were crazy fast, expensive sportscars EVERYWHERE.
We had to :)
LOVE the Cabs!
But the Cabbies had pretty FOUL mouths :P
The London Eye...
Me in Trafalgar Square
Mean Muggin'... haha
Guess I was getting tired... :P
The 2012 Olympics are going to be in London this year
just in case you haven't heard....
This is the countdown!
We also saw the Royal Horse Guards...
Super Pretty Horses!
Hubs and the Royal Horse Guards :)
I couldn't take this guy seriously...
I mean... look at that 'stache!
I've only seen this road on MOVIES!!
Yes... that's DOWNING STREET!
ME on DOWNING STREET! :)
Also... the Prime Minister lives there! hehe..
Then we headed over to Westminster Abbey....
And then....
I went to say Hi to the Queen and Kate...
But sadly, they weren't home! :( BOO!
So instead I just took some pics outside...
Buckingham Palace :)
How to tell which guard is at the Changing of the Guards...
I could live here... :) hehe
Then we made a quick stop by Harrods...
Ya know... because you HAVE TO.
And then it happened....
I saw this car... and I pretty much decided that I needed to buy it for Monica...
But what do ya know.... NOT for sale.... Sorry Boo! I tried ;)
At least I got the pic :)
Later we went to the Grenadier for Supper...
Look how YUMMMMYYYYY!
English Roast!!
And Aaron had English Hen! YUM!
And of course I had Coffee after :)
How presh!
Me outside after...
The Grenadier used to be the Officer's Mess for the Wellington's Soldiers!
Wayyyyyy back in the day.
Now its way off the beaten path & you need reservations because it's super popular and WORTH IT!
It's a GREAT place to eat with traditional English food...
but it's rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a soldier who was flogged to death after cheating at a game of cards... eeek! We didn't see anything ghostly while we were there lol :)
We had a great first few days in London....
I had ALWAYS dreamed of going and once again Aaron made my dreams come true!
Come back tomorrow for more...
I'll be sharing our Day-Trip to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Oxford!
That's all for today, folks :)
CIAO BELLAS!
xoxo
